BREAKING. E! Entertainment programming president Lisa Berger resigns.

E! Entertainment (DStv 124) programming president Lisa Berger has resigned.

Lisa Berger is leaving the general entertainment channel after nine years where she was chiefly responsible for developing and bringing the Kardashian franchise and its various reality show versions to television.

E! Entertainment will now have to find a replacement and Lisa Berger isn't indicating what she will be doing next.

"My time at E! Entertainment has been an amazing experience both professionally and personally and it is hard to sum up nearly a decade of show launches, milestones and incredible friendships," says Lisa Berger in a press statement.

"I am extremely proud of all of our accomplishments taking the network to record heights and forever grateful to my team whose talent and dedication knows no bounds. Although it won't be easy for me to say goodbye, I look forward to sharing the news of my next challenge in the months ahead," says Lisa Berger.

Suzanne Kolb, E! Entertainment president says "Lisa's talent and creative vision have been invaluable to the success of E! Entertainment over the past 9 years. Her passion and commitment to her work and her team are unparallelled and she will be dearly missed."
