SABC2 is dumping its afternoon schedule and doing away with the regular line-up for Wednesday for live coverage of the memorial service of chief justice Arthur Chaskalson.
SABC2 will start and stay with the proceedings from 14:30 this afternoon until 17:30. All of SABC2's scheduled programmes will fall away.
This is a steller example of how it can work, how it should work, and how all parties involved can get it right and serve the ultimate consumer: the TV viewer.
SABC2 issued an urgent schedule change this morning to alert the press. MultiChoice also got the schedule amendment, and the DStv EPG was actually instantly updated for SABC2 on the grid. All well done all around.
