Programming note: Comedy Central adds the highly subversive Tosh.0 to the schedule starting on Wednesday 2 January at 20:55.

Comedy Central (DStv 122) is adding the highly subversive Tosh.0 to the laugh channel's line-up starting Wednesday 2 January at 20:55 (South African time) with Tosh.0 which will broadcast new episodes Tuesdays to Fridays.

Comedy Central will start with the 5th season of Tosh.0 for South African and African viewers which is fronted by the risque comedian Daniel Tosh.

Viacom International Media Networks Africa (VIMN) which runs Comedy Central Africa tells me that Tosh.0 will be seen in South Africa "complete and unedited" and "exactly the same as aired in the USA".

That means that South African viewers will see Tosh.0 with the same extremely risque humour, situations and language.

Daniel Tosh pushes the limits in Tosh.0 as a blended TV show focusing heavily on internet content, interacting with and mocking the cyberverse, and delivering biting social satirical commentary with highly subversive skits.

One example of what South African audiences are in for with Tosh.0: In a skit such as "Gay Porn Viagra Boner Challenge" Daniel Tosh and mates all agree to take Viagra pills. Then they all strip down, stand next to each other and agree to all watch hardcore gay pornography together as cameras record it all. The "experiment" in the skit is to see who might have "movement" as they monitor each other, and who is therefore gay.
