Carte Blanche this Sunday at 19:00 on M-Net secures the must-watch documentary, The World According to Lance, for the entire hour.
Very well done for M-Net and Carte Blanche for securing the documentary for South African viewers which CNN showed in America but which CNN International (DStv 401) failed to get - Carte Blanche Sunday on M-Net at 19:00 secured the broadcasting rights to the have-to-see and riveting Australian documentary The World According to Lance.
The World According to Lance will take up the entire hour on Sunday of Carte Blanche.
The World According to Lance with reporter Quentin McDermott was originally produced by Four Corners for the Australian Broadcast Corporation (their version of Carte Blanche), detailing the case against the scandal-ridden cyclist Lance Armstrong who has been accused of employing illegal doping to enhance his athletic performances.
Quentin McDermott looks at the origins of the suspicion of Lance Armstrong's use of steroids, hormones, blood transfusions and other performance enhancements dating back to the 1990s and the documentary includes footage from Lance Armstrong's only ever deposition given in 2005.
Why did officials fail to act against Lance Armstrong when drug test results raised questions? Why did the International Cycling Union (ICU) accept donations from Lance Armstrong which clearly compromised the ICU's ability to treat him as they would any other competitor?
