Drunk tokoloshe pushes screaming grandma into microwave: Mzansi Magic goes tabloid with a trashy new twice weekly Daily Sun show.

Mzansi Magic (DStv 161) is taking a decidely further turn towards trash tabloid television (warning: look out for the multiple lawsuits which tarnished sister channel kykNET when unbridled tabloid presenters spouted hearsay rumours) by adding a twice weekly magazine show in conjunction with South Africa's Daily Sun tabloid newspaper.

The Daily Sun Show will have Kedibone Mulaudzi as presenter and will start on Tuesday 16 October at 19:00, and Friday 19 October at 19:00 on Mzansi Magic.

The channel promises that The Daily Sun Show will "provide more in-depth coverage of news stories as they happen". Since The Daily Sun is a tabloid which runs stories in the vein of "tokoloshe stole my hairy baby" dished up as real news, what that "in-depth coverage of news stories" means, remains to be seen.

The Tuesday show will have a more gossip and celebrity slant while the Friday show will be more a weekly round-up of stories.
