FIRST LOOK. The eNCA gets - and immediately starts using - a news interrupt 'Breaking News' bumper.

It doesn't quite ring formidable with a baritone "This is CNN" James Earl Jones Darth Vader voice, but the eNCA (DStv 403) now also has a normal news on-air interrupt "Breaking News'' bumper.

It's quite flashy and definitely an attention-getter - but please eNCA, resist.the.urge.to.overuse.

Viewers of the eNCA had to wait only one day since the eNews Channel officially changed its look and on-air appearance at 19:00 on Sunday night to suddenly see the "Breaking News" bumper - gainfully deployed by possibly a trigger-happy final control room producer who probably couldn't wait for the opportunity to use it.

News Night co-anchor Iman Rappetti finished the one interview and then suddenly viewers saw the "Breaking News" break-away bumper. Jeremy Maggs announced that the South African cricket team has just become the world's number one cricket team atop world cricket rankings.
