Christiane Amanpour, Oprah and Greta van Susteren make Forbes' 100 Most Powerful Women list for 2012.

Forbes magazine has released their annual list of the "100 Most Powerful Women" and several TV personalities which South Africans will know, feature on the 2012 list.

CNN International's (DStv 401) Christiane Amanpour makes the 53rd place on Forbes' list while Fox News Channel's (TopTV 405) Greta van Susteren holds the 94th place.

Oprah Winfrey holds the 11th spot on the list and Ellen DeGeneres was 47th.

Anne Sweeney, the co-chairperson for Disney Media Networks and president of the Disney/ABC Television Group, Walt Disney in America holds the 22nd place.

Bonnie Hammer, the chairperson for cable entertainment and cable studios, NBCUniversal and Comcast and in charge of channels such as E! Entertainment (DStv 124) and Style (DStv 183) seen in South Africa comes in at 73rd place.

Sofia Vergara of Modern Family was 75th.
