BREAKING. Disciplinary hearing coming next week for Phil Molefe, the 'on special leave' head of news at the SABC.

A disciplinary hearing is coming next week for Phil Molefe, the SABC's "on special leave" head of news and current affairs at the SABC.

Phil Molefe was placed on "special leave" in April due to "human resources" matters at South Africa's public broadcaster, although the SABC refused to elaborate on what exactly it means.

The SABC maintained that Phil Molefe was placed on "special leave" which didn't have anything to do with a falling out between him and the SABC's new CEO, Lulama Mokhobo.

Yet now that Phil Molefe is facing a disciplinary hearing, it clearly indicates that the SABC's top executive management has levelled certain charges against Phil Molefe and that there is indeed some type of conflict between the SABC's executive management and the broadcaster's on "special leave" head of news.
