Game of Thrones on M-Net tops the list for the year's most pirated TV show.
The year's most downloaded TV shows globally - and therefore an unofficial and unrecognised, yet definitely scrutinised metric of the most desired TV programming - are shown on M-Net in South Africa.
Game of Thrones, the 2nd season of which just concluded in America and on M-Net was the world's most pirated and illegally downloaded show, according to new statistics released by TorrentFreak. Game of Thrones averaged 4 million downloads per episode.
The fantasy drama was followed by How I Met Your Mother, shown locally on e.tv and The Big Bang Theory on M-Net and SABC3 with 2,8 million illegal downloads.
House on The Universal Channel, M-Net and M-Net Series in South Africa was placed 4th with 2,3 million downloads, followed by Supernatural on M-Net Series and SABC3 with 1,5 million downloads per episode.
