BREAKING. South African judges named for the 2 categories South Africa will judge for the 2012 International Emmy Awards.


South Africa will once again judge categories for the International Emmy Awards and in the 2012 International Emmy Awards the Academy of International Television Arts and Sciences made South Africa responsible for the English Speaking Animation, as well as the English Speaking Documentary categories.

The South Africans who will be judging these categories are now known.

In the category for English Speaking Animation for the 2012 International Emmys, the judges will be: Stuart Forrest, Paul Meyer, Anthony Silverston, Bruce Legg, Daniel Snaddon, Wayne Thornley, Carolyn Carew, Roberta Durrant and Denis Lillie.

In the category for English Speaking Documentary, the judges will be Simon Taylor, Carolyn Carew, Heather Blumenthal, Lauren Groenewald, Tina-Louise Smith, Clive Morris, Richard Matthews, Roberta Durrant and Denis Lillie.

The judging of these categories will take place in Cape Town on 9 and 10 July with Nathaniel Brendel, the International Emmys director of judging who will be overseeing the process.

This opportunity is very important for the South African film and TV industry as it recognises the growing stature of South Africa's film and TV sector, and recognises the experience and expertise of dedicated and longtime TV and film producers in the country.
