Programming: New buddy-cop drama, Common Law, starting on M-Net on Saturday 16 June at 19:30.

The "new Miami Vice" - and the latest in a new trend of "bromance" buddy-cop TV dramas - Common Law is coming to M-Net and will be starting very quickly on the South African pay TV broadcaster after its recent American television debut.

Common Law will start on M-Net on 16 June at 19:30 with a first season of 11 episodes.

Common Law has Warren Kole as Wes Mitchell and Michael Ealy as Travis Marks. They are LAPD detectives and work together, although they simply can't stand each other. After 5 years it gets so bad that their captain sends them to "couples therapy" as they continue to solve cases. Common Law started in America this past Friday.

There's fun chemistry between the actors as well as the two characters in Common Law, similar in sensibility and portrayal to the male lead duos in dramas such as NCIS Los Angeles (M-Net) and Franklin & Bash (M-Net).

Wes is the compulsive one who does things by the book; Travis is the ladies man and rule breaker.
