A new HD PVR is coming to the market from MultiChoice for DStv subscribers, a 2-tuner personal video recorder from Altech UEC.
The Altech UEC HD PVR 2U encapsulates all the normal HD PVR functionalities - subscribers can fast forward, pause, rewind and use slow motion with recordings, as well as use rewind, pause and slow motion with live television already in the two hour buffer.
The Altech UED HD PVR 2U can record 150 hours of standard definition (SD) television or 50 hours of high definition (HD) and has the usual set of capabilities regarding parental control, sound options and aspect ratio settings. The recommended retail price of R1 499 will be the same as the HD PVR 2P and is available from May.
