BREAKING. M-Net Strike Back! Great action drama, Strike Back, to start on M-Net on Friday 15 June at 21:30.
You're reading it here first.
I can exclusively break the news (after pouring over a schedule, doing research and working backwards) that the hot new drama series Strike Back will start on M-Net on Friday 15 June at 21:30.
In November last year I exclusively broke the news RIGHT HERE that M-Net has acquired the broadcasting rights to Strike Back. Now it's been sheduled.
Strike Back - listed as the first season by M-Net will actually be season two (although we'll only see the show like the Americans when it "resets" as a co-production).
Strike Back contains naughty nudity, violence, explosions, sex, action - but this time M-Net has time appropriately timeslotted the show (as opposed to the oh-so-no Homeland). In fact, Strike Back is the perfect show to schedule on a Friday night when you want to see some skop, skiet and sexy, 21:30 is the perfect time andM-Net has really done well with this one, programming wise. All the boxes perfectly ticked.
Strike Back with Sullivan Stapleton and Philip Winchester is actually entitled Strike Back: Project Dawn from the second season - which is America and South Africa's first season and where the series will start for us.
This season of Strike Back where we will actually start the story (only one character from the real first season makes a cameo appearance in the first episode) was largely filmed right here in Cape Town in South Africa. The 3rd season is currently filming in Cape Town similar to the first and second seasons.
Strike Back follows two agents of Section 20 - a secret branch of the British Intelligence Service (MI6) who are on the hunt for a terrorist. The terrorist is plotting an operation known as "Project Dawn", hence the season two title.
Strike Back is fun, its entertaining, its perfect for an enjoyable Friday night on M-Net to watch and unwind.
