TLC planning a Mario Lopez Wedding Special; several new series, and royal specials about Diana and William and Kate.


Mario Lopez and his fiancé Courtney Mazza are allowing TLC (TopTV 453 / DStv 186) to film their wedding as a TV special for the channel while TLC also announced some brand-new upcoming programming.

The Mario Lopez Weding Special will be shown on TLC and will follow Mario Lopez (which South African viewers saw in the reality show Mario Lopez: Saved by the Bell on Vuzu, DStv 123) as he and Courtney Mazza navigate through the planning process, discover the perfect dress and celebrate their love at their wedding with their family and friends.

TLC is also planning new TV specials like William & Kate: One Year Later charting the royal couple's life and marriage since 29 April 2011 exploring their Royal engagements and private moments that have kept Britain and the world enthralled.

There's also the special My Mother Diana coming to TLC, looking at how Princess Diana's life, her relationship with the House of Windsor, the media, and the public have shaped her eldest son, Prince William.

Other brand-new programming on TLC which South African viewers will see being rolled out over the next year include Big Brooklyn Style, a new half-hour workplace docu-soap following larger than life plus-size designer Lisa Dolan and her husband/partner Jim Dolan, as they set out to conquer the plus-size fashion world, ''one beautifully designed dress at a time".

Big Brooklyn Style will follow the family run business on their mission to combine style with plus size clothing.

Big Tiny: Life With the Jordans is another new TLC series about the extraordinary life of the world's smallest siblings.

Besides her existing reality show, Tori Spelling is getting a brand-new show on TLC entitled Craft Wars which pits creative and genius crafters against one another in tough challenges.

Extreme Cheapskates is another new TLC show will will give an insider's look at the most extreme money saving people around. Prepare to be amazed at their inventive and outrageous ways to save money.

Mama's Boys of the Bronx has 8 episodes and follows five Italian-American men who grew up together, are in their 30s and still live with their mothers in Arthur Avenue.

In Randy to the Rescue, Randy Fenoli from Say Yes to the Dress rolls into towns with a truck filled with wedding dresses. A team of consultants, working various fitting stations, help brides find the perfect dress.
