I can exclusively break the news that The Firm - based on the movie, based on the book by John Grisham - will start on Sony Entertainment Television (SET) on Monday 7 May at 20:30 for a first season of 22 episodes.

The Firm is filmed in Toronto, Canada and takes place a decade after where the movie ended when lawyer Mitchell McDeere is on the run and enters a witness protection programme.

Now he and his family are leaving the witness protection programme after the mob put a hit on them and they are trying to rebuild their lives in Washington, DC. Then Mitch who starts his own law practice discovers that past dangers are still lurking.

John Grisham himself is the executive producer of the drama series based on his 1993 best seller which became a movie with Tom Cruise. Josh Lucas plays Mitchell McDeere.
