M-Net heading to the international TV market MIPTV in April for the very first time this year as an exhibitor.
South Africa's pay TV broadcaster M-Net will be an exhibitor for the very first time this year at the annual international TV market MIPTV in the south of France where international buyers, sellers, producers and commissioners of documentary and factual programmes screen new content and do business.
M-Net will be at MIPTV as an exhibitor of TV content for the very first time when MIPTV kicks off on Sunday 1 April in Cannes.
M-Net shows on offer will include productions like the 39 part Cooking with Siba from Homebrew Films and Great Africans which is an M-Net Production. M-Net will also showcase and offer Crimes Uncovered, the 13 part docu-drama series profiling South African crimes that resulted in the successful capture and prosecution of perpetrators.
M-Net will also be shopping The Wild which the channel describes as ''the first high quality telenovella to come out of Africa shot on HD format'' which was recently nominated for 6 South African Film and Television Awards (Saftas).
Jacobs Cross revolves around the journey of Jacob Makhubu, a high-powered oil company executive who longs to travel to New York to experience life's more worldly pleasures. However, his fortune is unexpectedly turned around when he inherits the family business and sets out on a path to build the next great African empire.
