BBC World News commissions a second season of Horizons, looking at how mankind will work and live in the next decade.

BBC World News (TopTV 400 / DStv 400) has commissioned a second season of Horizons which will start later this year and which will further explore how mankind will live and work in the next decade.

The second season of Horizons will again travel around the world looking at ideas to solve the Earth's biggest challenges. Adam Shaw will again serve as the lead presenter of the programme, with Saima Mohsin joining this season as co-presenter.

Adam Shaw and Saima Mohsin will report from a wide range of countries including India, Brazil, the US and China, on groundbreaking research and technologies that could determine mankind's future.

''We are confident that the next series of Horizons will give audiences an even deeper insight into business, scientific and technological innovation around the world,'' says Mary Wilkinson, the commissioning editor at BBC Global News.

''The challenges are great but the pace of research is exciting and the pairing of Adam Shaw and Saima Mohsin will allow the series to travel to more locations and feature an even wider range of projects and companies."
