The legendary musician Vangelis composes special Arab Awakening music for the Al Jazeera news channel.

The legendary musician Vangelis, known for iconic musical scores such as Chariots of Fire and Blade Runner gave his first TV interview in 20 years and sat down with Al Jazeera (DStv 406 / TopTV 401) and even composed a special orchestral composition for the Middle East news channel for the theme of ''Arab Awakening''.

The normally recluse artist talked about the role of music in today's world and said in the interview with Al Jazeera's Tony Harris that ''we need to invest in beauty. Beauty is harmony which comes from chaos. But we invest in chaos. And why do we invest in chaos? Because chaos is more profitable than investing in peace.''
