BREAKING. Massive dramatic TV mini-series spanning 6 decades to be filmed in South Africa about the life of Nelson Mandela.
A massive, dramatic TV mini-series about the life of Nelson Mandela, simply entitled Mandela, will be produced and filmed in South Africa later this year Britain's The Guardian reports.
The 6 hour mini-series of which the principal stars still have to be cast, will cover 6 decades of the life of Nelson Mandela (now 93), and reportedly has the frail former South African president's approval.
The sweeping mini-series written by the British novelist Nigel Williams is being produced by Left Bank Pictures.
The script is be based on the books Conversations with Myself and Nelson Mandela By Himself, which features authorised quotations. The Nelson Mandela Foundation will also help with historical accuracy of the TV project.
Kweku Mandela, Nelson Mandela's grandson, is according to The Guardian, involved with the project.
