CNBC Africa (DStv 410) has scored an exclusive sit-down TV interview with Oprah Winfrey set to be broadcast in the show Africa Prime with Godfrey Mutizwa tomorrow, Tuesday 17 January at 18:00 on the business TV channel.
In the one hour TV special Godfrey Mutizwa interviews the talk show diva who arrived in South Africa this past Friday to attend the graduation ceremony of the first class of 72 girls who just matriculated from her private boarding school, The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls near Henley-on-Klip.
Oprah Winfrey opens up about her girls' school which she began in 2007 and has since seen it share of headline grabbing controversies but has also become an education success story for South Africa as well as an example for the rest of the African continent.
In the exclusive TV interview, Oprah Winfrey will be talking about the importance of education and why it personally matters to her. She sheds light on the conversation she had with the former president, Nelson Mandela, which convinced her to build the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy.
In the Africa Prime hour Oprah Winfrey also gives insight into life after The Oprah Winfrey Show, as well as her newest endeavour, The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) which just turned one year old in America.
