SABC Education website's 'account suspended'; SABC admits 'problems with the technical hosting' that is getting attention.

The SABC Education website at www.sabceducation.co.za/ has been greeting visitors with ''account suspended'' for a while now, with industry insiders who've been wondering what is going on.

The SABC notes that the broadcaster has been experiencing problems, but tells TV with Thinus the site will be up again soon.

''The SABC Education site is hoted outside the country by NetOps,'' says the SABC. ''We did have some problems with the technical hosting environment. We have just been informed that the site has been activated. It may take some time for us to see this in South Africa since dns propagation has to happen,'' says the broadcaster.

''We have requested our service provider for digital media including the website to speed-up the process with NetOps. We are told that the dns propagation is currently updating.''
