BREAKING. The eNews Channel going big with looking back at the year that was with a special 7 part series entitled Reflections on 2011.

You're reading it here first.

I can break the news that a must-see series of episodes, part of a set called Reflections of 2011, will be coming to the eNews Channel (DStv 403) from the end of December to early January 2012 - 7 different episodes looking back at this tumultuous year in news.

I can exclusively reveal that between 19 December and 9 January 2012 the eNews Channel will be running Reflections of 2011 with episodes that will be playing at various times during that period, looking back at some of the more memorable stories broadcast this year on the South African 24 hour news channel.

It won't necessarily be ''lead stories'' as we call them in the biz, but stories as the eNews Channel originally broadcast them. Episodes forming part of Reflections of 2011 are broken down into various categories such as general news reports, politics, court and crime, Africa and others.

Each of the Reflections of 2011 episodes are presented by a different well-known eNews Channel anchor and will include Nikiwe Bikitsha, Iman Rappetti, Gareth Edwards, Joanne Joseph, Chris Maroleng, William Lehong and Andrew Barnes.

The eNews Channel will also be producing several review stories on some of 2011's bigger issues of the year ranging from newsmakers such as Julius Malema, Bheki Cele, and the Dewani appeal, as well as looking back at some of the big international stories from the year like the Japan tsunami, the Arab Spring and the Royal Wedding.
