BREAKING. New kykNET drama series Vloeksteen a semi-procedural diamond mystery; just started filming, set for broadcast in April 2012.

You're reading it here first.

Vloeksteen is the name of the latest new kykNET drama show coming in 2012 and let me be first to exclusively write and tell everything possibly known and available at this current moment about the show that's been commissioned by kykNET and which just started filming.

I can further exclusively break the news that Vloeksteen (''Cursed Stone'' referring to the diamonds which plays an integral part of the storylines) will start on kykNET in April 2012. The production just started filming in and around the Western Cape and Cape Town where the drama series will also be set. Vloeksteen is described to me by sources as a ''semi procedural diamond mystery'' with an overall ''gripping'' story arch.

And here's all the breaking scoop only TV with Thinus can dish up. Vloeksteen will have 26 hour episodes and is being produced for kykNET by Waterfront Television.

Vloeksteen was written by Hein Eksteen and Reghardt van den Bergh is the director. Sources are telling me that Vloeksteen's stellar cast include names like Joanie Combrink, Dorette Potgieter, Andre Jacobs, Alwyn Maritz, Neels van Jaarsveld, Nicola Hanekom, Oscar PetersenMarius Weyers and many more.

Want more? ''Vloeksteen has somewhat of an CSI-vibe,'' says a source, ''the overall story is about diamonds''. Filming started 2 weeks ago in and around Cape Town and will shoot along places like the West Coast. ''Everything location based'' quips an insider.
