Programming note: CNN International to show half hour TV special documentary, Steve Jobs, on Saturday and Sunday.

CNN International (DStv 401) is the first of the big 24 hour news channels I can tell you that's changing it's programming line-up to broadcast a Steve Jobs special after the death of the Apple visionary.

In a half hour special, simply entitled Steve Jobs, Apple insiders, friends and colleagues of Steve Jobs come together in  revealing documentary devoted to a man who changed the technology industry forever.

Words like "revolutionary" and "visionary" have become synonymous with Steve Jobs. The co-founder of Apple has changed the way the world communicates. But many don't know all the twists and turns behind the scenes of the man in the Levi jeans and black turlenecks. Steve Jobs is produced by Jenni Watts (in Atlanta) and Amanda Sealy.

At this moment CNN International will show Steve Jobs on Friday night (7 October) at 21:30 (South African time). Steve Jobs will also show Saturday (8 October) pre-empting the first half of Piers Morgan Tonight.  On Saturday African Voices at 16:30 (South African time) will also fall away for Steve Jobs.

On Sunday (9 October) Steve Jobs will be shown at 11:30 (South African time) pre-empting Inside Africa.

BBC World News (DStv 400 / TopTV 400) tells me from Britain that Click on Saturday (8 October) at 08:30 (South African time) (repeats Saturday 18:30, Sunday 05:30, 15:30) will be a tribute to Steve Jobs.
