Programming note: Carte Blanche on M-Net talks to Alex Crawford, Sky News foreign correspondent about Libya ... and her life.

An alert to a must-watch, sure to be fascinating, profile piece on the Sky News (DStv 402) journalist Alex Crawford on the weekly investigative magazine show Carte Blanche tonight at 19:00 on M-Net.

In April I told you RIGHT HERE that Sky News correspondent Emma Hurd is leaving South Africa and switching places with Alex Crawford who would henceforth be heading up the South African bureau of Sky News covering Africa.

Then Egypt and then Lybia happened and Alex Crawford did excellent reporting and TV news coverage considered the best in the world. Remember how, in August, Alex Crawford ''had better contract than anybody else'' when she was the first TV reporter to actually broadcast from inside Tripoli? it was riveting, must-see television.

Now Carte Blanche talks to Alex Crawford this evening in Johannesburg where the foreign correspondent, a mother of four, recently settled with her family. Carte Blanche caught up with her on a break from dodging bullets in Libya.

The Carte Blanche profile piece was produced by Susan Puren with journalist Susan Comrie and Bongani Bingwa is the presenter.
