M-Net signs distribution deal to make its library of English shows available to the leading French distributor Cote Ouest in Africa.

M-Net has signed a distribution deal with Cote Ouest, a distributor in French-speaking Africa, making English TV titles from M-Net's library ranging from soaps and films to short films as well as documentaries available to Cote Ouest that's expanding into the English market.

M-Net titles such as drama series like Changes from Kenya, soaps like Tinsel from Nigeria and a range of documentaries are available to Cote Ouest for distribution.

Cote Ouest previously focused on distributing Hollywood and Latin American productions into French-speaking African countries and will now add English productions from M-Net.

Mike Dearham, head of sales and library at M-Net, said the company was dedicated to the growth and development of the African production industry and was keen to work with Cote Ouest to take African content to the Anglophone market.
