BBC Worldwide in Britain has appointed Joerg Bachmaier to the newly-created role of executive vice president for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
BBC Worldwide runs several TV channels such as BBC Entertainment (DStv 120), BBC Knowledge (DStv 251), BBC Lifestyle (DStv 180) and CBeebies (DStv 306) on MultiChoice's DStv platform in South Africa.
Joerg Bachmaier will start in the newly-created position in November and will be in charge of driving revenue growth by developing new brands, products and services across the entire EMEA region, excluding Britain.
