M-Net, thanks to Monarchy, scoops gold, silver and bronze awards for great on-air promo work at the 2011 Promax Awards in New York.

M-Net - and the incredibly terrific design company Monarchy (no, I don't own shares or have friends there) in South Africa - has raked in several well-deserved Promax Awards in New York at the 2011 PromaxBDA Design Awards for stellar on-air promo work. The pay broadcaster's on-air promo work competed with TV channels around the world in several categories.

M-Net won a bronze (work done by Monarchy) in the category for a TV promo for a movie for the M-Net Movies 1 HD channel launch promo.

In the category for Best collaborative effort, M-Net actually competed against itself and won a gold (work done by Monarchy) for its M-Net Movies 1 HD channel imaging, and a bronze for the new title sequence for the pay broadcaster's soap The Wild (work done by Monarchy).

In the category for Best directing, M-Net (work done by Monarchy) scooped the gold as well for The Wild's title sequence. In the category for Total Package design, M-Net received the silver award for its M-Net Movie 1 HD channel imaging (work done by Monarchy).

By the way, M-Net Africa scooped a silver for work done by Clearwater in the Program promotion: entertainment category for the TV show Jacob's Cross.
