BREAKING. Trade unions taking SABC to the labour court regarding the public broadcaster's turnaround strategy.
The trade unions and the SABC will be heading to the labour court regarding the public broadcaster's turnaround strategy.
After the trade union Mwasa has indicated that arbitration is coming, the Bemawu trade union, the second of the three big trade unions within the beleaguered broadcaster, has just informed the SABC that Bemawu intends to bring an urgent application in the labour court to reverse all the implementations of the broadcaster's turnaround strategy.
Bemawu further claims the SABC is not talking to the trade unions and has indicated that Bemawu intends to get a court order ''to compel you to properly consult with us''.
