Rose Ramsay, group executive producer of the eNews Channel (DStv 403) appears in the new Mail & Guardian's 200 Young South Africans 2011 supplement as one of the few South African TV types to be included in this year's list, with the weekly newspaper calling her someone who ''strives to continue to raise the standard of 24 hour broadcasting in South Africa''.

Although the Mail & Guardian's 200 Young South Africans 2011 list have some glaring ommissions when it comes to rising talent within the South African television (and film) industry and includes some idiosyncratic choices to say the least (even judged by the supplement's own standards), some names from the local TV sphere did manage to make the cut.

The Mail & Guardian says it is Rose Ramsay's ''fighting spirit, tenacity and willingness to work extremely hard that has fuelled her ascent to group executive producer'' at the eNews Channel and that her aim is to ''broadcast the highest-quality news possible''.

Other TV tattle include the telegenic twins Hlelo and Ntando Masinga, the up-and-coming TV presenters who say that they'd ''like to star in a TV reality show to prove how unique they really are''. TV presenter Siki Mgabadeli (pictured) is also included who co-hosts the show about black economic empowerment, Africa Inc., on SABC3 who says she has ''the best job in the world''.

Bonang Matheba, presenter of the entertainment show Live on SABC1 is the final person from the world of South African television chosen for the 200 list.
