BREAKING. The Wild cast and crew ''celebrating'' and ''relieved'' following a change of the guard at the weekday soap's production.

You're reading it here first.

It's not quite as if they've lit jubilant bonfires in victorious celebration like Ewoks on the forest moon of Endor, but they are out in the wild and word from the set of M-Net's soap The Wild is relieve and a sense of celebration.

I'm told by on-set sources that there's a marked lowering of the level of tension felt on the soap's set amongst the entire cast and crew, following the news that executive producer Bronwyn Berry is departing the show. Richard Nosworthy is also leaving as series producer. Bobby Heaney of Imani Media is taking over the reigns of The Wild as executive producer.

Actors on The Wild are ''celebrating'' and many people are ''relieved'' with this change of the guard on the production. Many who strongly believe in the weekday soap and their work, say that they feel that M-Net who've been producing The Wild in-house through the Magic Factory should have taken a tougher stance on the production a long time ago. ''M-Net is pouring so much money into The Wild - people want to see the show succeed,'' says one.

''Celebrating,'' says another source connected to the show talking about the cast and crew, saying this ''was the best thing that could have happened'' and that a ''threatened walk-out of actors has been cancelled.''
