Programming note: Inside the Royal Wedding on SABC3 follows key people tasked with organizing and planning the wedding day.


Inside the Royal Wedding this evening from 18:00 is an hour long documentary (with a repeat on Tuesday 19 April at 12:00) that will take viewers behind-the-scenes of the most anticipated Royal Wedding of our time - that of Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday 29 April.

Inside the Royal Wedding on SABC3 will give viewers a unique glimpse into the wedding plans of Prince William and Kate Middleton as the logistical nightmare becomes a reality for the key people tasked with ensuring this modern day Royal spectacle passes without a hitch.

Inside the Royal Wedding is incredibly recent and filmed 3 months at the beginning of 2011 as cameras follow an assortment of characters from all walks of life, directly involved with every aspect of the day - from the Royal procession to the ceremony at Westminster Abbey and details of the two Royal receptions. The documentary films some of the key figures and organizers throughout the build up to the wedding and also looks at past Royal Weddings.

Inside the Royal Wedding follows the doyenne of party organizers in Britain - Lady Elizabeth Anson, royal party planner of choice and the person who has attended a host of Royal Weddings both personally and professionally. There's also the Household Calvary, and the Dean of Westminster Abbey, the Rt Reverend Dr John Hall who has the overall responsibility for ensuring that the Abbey is ready and prepared for this most regal of occasions.
