BREAKING. SABC: ''We're definitely paying for the right to broadcast the Royal Wedding of Prince William on Friday 29 April.''
We're definitely paying for it. So says the SABC about the broadcasting rights the public broadcaster has acquired for the upcoming Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday 29 April.
The BBC told the trade publication Variety that it gave the rights for free to public broadcasters that's part of the Commonwealth - of which South Africa is a member nation. But the SABC says it's definitely not getting the live feed next Friday for free.
''The SABC has acquired the rights to broadcast the Royal Wedding on Friday 29 April at a fee from the BBC,'' Kaizer Kganyago, SABC spokesperson tells TV with Thinus.
