BREAKING. M-Net gets its own version of The View; adds The Talk as the pay channel's new weekday afternoon talk show from April.

You're reading it here first.

I can exclusively break the news that M-Net is starting a brand-new weekday talk show slot from April and has signed for the new American talk show The Talk that will debut on Friday, 1 April at 13:00.

The Talk, similar in format and style to The View of SABC3, started in October last year in America. The Talk will replace M-Net's current infomercials slot early in the afternoon.

The women of The Talk, discuss all kinds of issues ranging from motherhood and being parents to womencentric topics. They are Sara Gilbert (who's also the executive producer), Julie Chen, Leah Remini, Holly Robinson Peete, Sharon Osbourne and Marissa Jaret Winokur.

Marissa Jaret Winokur has already left the show in America in January after she complained that she wasn't seen enough. Show gossip from behind the scenes is that Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete don't get along. Sharon Osbourne will disappear a bit after a while and will be replaced by her daughter Kelly Osbourne when Sharon Osbourne started filming the new season of America's Got Talent in which she's a judge.

The Talk that has already been renewed for a second season in America also incorporates celebrity interviews.
Earlier this month I broke the news RIGHT HERE about SABC3's massive schedule changes coming from April - one of which entails SABC3 moving its mid-morning American talk show block at 11:00 also to the afternoon at 14:30.
