BREAKING. Discovery and Discovery Science working on a Japan earthquake and tsunami TV special.


Discovery has immediately started working on a TV special to be broadcast a bit later this year on both Discovery Science (TopTV 302) and Discovery Channel (DStv 121) entitled Anatomy of a Disaster after the earthquake and tsunami natural disasters that hit Japan yesterday.

Anatomy of a Disaster will be a one hour special documenting the devastation across Japan and will include unprecedented footage of the 8.9 magnitude earthquake that stuck yesterday and the resultant tsunami.

''Discovery Channel and Discovery Science will offer a one-of-a-kind look into the epic natural tragedy. Anatomy of a Disaster will depict a race against time, from the first wave to hit Sendai, to acts of incredible heroism still yet to occur,'' says Discovery in a press release.

Meanwhile This Week with Christiane Amanpour will originate from Japan tomorrow night on Sunday (13 March) on BBC World News (TopTV 400 / DStv 400). Presenter Christiane Amanpour has been making her way to Japan.
