Al Jazeera (Top 401 / DStv 408) is secretly working on a new show titled The Stream that will start in May and which will be the 24 hour news channel's attempt at a social networking TV show.
The Stream will be filled with tweets, Facebook posts, YouTube videos and Flickr photos and comes after the news channel's unrivaled success by using social media to triumph and report on the unheaval in Tunisia, Egypt and other countries in North Africa and Arab nations rocked by popular uprisings the past two months.
