Discovery Science to look at science fiction visionaries with Ridley Scott in a new show that will have its own unique, stylized look.

Discovery's Science channel (TopTV 302) has announced that it's making a new show entitled Prophets of Science Fiction, an 8 part series that will be profiling various science fiction luminaries.

Prophets of Science Fiction will look at science fiction visionaries such as Isaac Asimov, Gene Roddenberry and George Lucas and how their work inspired future discoveries in science decades before it became real science.

Ridley Scott, the visionary mind behind iconic works of science fiction such as Blade Runner and the Alien movies will be producing the show. ''I am thrilled to be partnering with the Science Channel on this exciting new series,'' Ridley Scott says in a press release. ''I hope that the audience will find the subjects as interesting and inspiring as I do.

Prophets of Science Fiction promises ''a dynamic, hyper-stylized way'' regarding the look of the show ''that has yet to been seen on television.''
