BREAKING. SABC dumps the public broadcaster's political editor, Xolani Xundu after being found guilty in disciplinary hearing.
You're reading it here first.
The SABC has dumped its political editor Xolani Xundu with immediate effect, saying that he brought the public broadcaster's image into disrepute and that he was found guilty yesterday on charges in his disciplinary hearings.
The SABC just issued a statement saying that the South African public broadcaster has ''terminated the services of political editor Xolani Xundu'' after he was found guilty on charges of ''non-compliance with the duties of his contract and bringing the corporation into disrepute''.
Xolani Xundu was fired from the SABC for amongst other things his bad handling of the coverage of the ANC's national general council that took place in Durban this past September.
The SABC tells me the position for the broadcaster's head of TV news position (after Amrit Manga got dumped too) has been advertised and ''will be filled once all the processes have been finalised''.
