Reuters just reported that euronews which belongs to 21 European state broadcasters, plans to open new news bureaus in Paris, Dubai, Washington, Beijing, Kiev and Istanbul this year. The news network that is known for its rolling news stories without reporters' faces and just voice-overs, plan to show more presenters and will create a new 20 person news bureau in Brussels as well.
The major expansion in its news gathering operations and tweaks to its on-air presentation is aimed to differentiate itself even further from euronews' competitors like CNN International (DStv 401) and BBC World News (TopTV 400 / DStv 400).
