Syfy announced that Stargate Universe will not be renewed for a third season and that the show will finish out its remaining 10 episodes of the current second season. Caprica, also from Syfy, also shown on M-Net Action, was also recently canceled in America and will also still have a few final episodes that will be broadcast on both channels.
''Syfy will end its original action-adventure series Stargate Universe when the show returns with the final 10 episodes of its second season in the spring of 2011,'' says Craig Engler, the senior vice president and general manager of Syfy Digital.
