BREAKING. After Survivor Gabon SABC3 might be forced to cancel the broadcast of even MORE shows due to unavailable video tapes.

You're reading it here first.

I just heard that the tape of the first episode of Survivor Gabon that's stuck in Europe and prevented SABC3 from premiering the new season last night might just the beginning and that SABC3 might be forced to jettison even more shows this week and next week because of the unavailability of video cassettes because of the European snow storms.

SABC insiders familiar with the matter tells me ''it's wait and see''. ''We simply don't know,'' says one about the current unavailability of Survivor Gabon. ''I guess we'll have to wait and see. The only one [video cassette] that was urgent was Survivor Gabon, so we're hoping it will arrive in time for next week. The weather is really creating havoc.''

Another insider reveals to me that SABC3 haven't yet received a single video tape for the 25th and final season that SABC3 confirmed in November would start in January on the channel. ''There's not a single Oprah [episode] in the building. Christmas is coming when everything shuts down and in 2 weeks after that it has to go out. It's just not going to happen at this point.''
