After pressure, parliament extends the deadline for nominations for new members of the SABC board to 6 December.

The deadline for nominations for new members of the SABC board (after four resigned during the past few months because of acrimonious power struggles with the SABC chairperson dr Ben Ngubane) has now been extended.

In a big part thanks to lobbying action by the public pressure group Support Public Broadcasting Coalition (SOS), parliament has announced that the deadline for nominations has now been extended to Monday, December 6 at 16:00.
