I just got this photo of the American president Barack Obama with Mythbuster's Jamie Hyneman (left) and Adam Savage taken in the library of the White House. President Barack Obama will appear in Discovery Channel's (DStv 121) Mythbusters show in South Africa on Wednesday, April 6 at 21:50 in the episode entitled ''Archimedes Solar Ray''.

''I'm pleased to welcome Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage,'' said president Barack Obama in a press release issued by the Discovery Channel. ''I can announce that I taped a special guest appearance for their show, although I didn't get to blow anything up . . . I was a little frustrated about that.''

President Barack Obama will be featured in a Muthbusters episode that will be broadcast in South Africa during April, in which he challenges the presenters to revisit an ancient and somewhat controversial myth: Did the Greek scientist Archimedes set fire to an invading Roman fleet using only mirrors and the reflected rays of the sun?

Mythbusters can currently be seen on the Discovery Channel on Sundays at 20:00 and aims to uncover the truth behind popular myths and legends by mixing scientific methods with ingenuity.
