BREAKING. SABC blames bad weather for failure of broadcasting soccer today and not getting camera equipment to the match in time.

You're reading it here first.

The SABC has botched its second sport ''non-broadcast'' within three days - first Friday's cricket match and now today again, when the SABC completely failed to broadcast the soccer match between South Africa and Sierra Leone because the SABC couldn't get its broadcasting equipment to the match in time.

The SABC blames bad weather.

''The SABC regrets its failure to broadcast the soccer match between South Africa and Sierra Leone due to the delay in transportation of its technical equipment to show the match today,'' says the SABC in a statement. ''The aeroplane that was carrying the equipment to be used was grounded in Ivory Coast due a severe storm in that country. The SABC had done everything in its power to secure the rights and all the necessary arrangements and we could not foresee the bad weather.''
