SABC's new ''executive manager for stakeholder management'' Hlaudi Motsoeneng appointed ''irregularly'', says Bemawu.

The SABC's biggest trade union, the Broadcasting, Electronic Media and Allied Workers' Union (Bemawu) says that the SABC's newly appointed executive manager for stakeholder management, Hlaudi Motsoeneng, was hired irregularly by Solly Mokoetle, the SABC's group CEO who was suspended just over a week ago.

According to Bemawu Hlaudi Motsoeneng lied on his application form, saying that he had passed matric, which he didn't. "Such a position - manager of stakeholder relations - has never existed at the SABC before. He has never spoken to us and we are stakeholders,'' says Hannes du Buisson, president of Bemawu in a statement.
