Programming note. Having kept it real, Noluthando Meje enters the fifth season of Keeping It Real with a focus on celebrating success stories.

You're reading it here first.

The sassy and telegenic Noluthando Meje is back from Tuesday, September 14 on SABC2's youth afternoon broadcast block Qbase28 for the fifth season of Keeping It Real that debuts at 16:30 on the broadcaster.

The youth talk show's fifth season - Noluthando Meje's third since she took over as host from the third season - plans on focusing and celebrating young people's success stories this year. ''Our viewers respond well to the ordinary role models we feature on the show,'' she says, ''so I want to focus on the success stories we have, but don't often celebrate. There are so many young people out there who are doing great things for themselves and their communities, but they never get exposure. We want to show that young people should be optimistic about South Africa.''

Keeping It Real is produced from Cape Town by Clockwork Zoo. In this fifth season the production will attempt to incorporate more current affairs into the show in this fifth season and how that affects young people. The recent national strike and teachers staying away, prompted an uncoming episode about the state of South Africa's national education system.
