Bongi Mthombeni (23) from Thembisa got the least amount of viewers' votes and were just voted out of the Top 9 contestants on M-Net's Idols.
Bongi Mthombeni ended up in the bottom three in tonight's live Idols Results Show on the pay broadcaster with Jamie-Lee Sexton and Pieter West. Fellow contestants Lloyd Cele and Sindi Nene could be seen crying on stage as they hugged a flabbergasted Bongi Mthombeni.
''It's quite a big surprise to me,'' Bongi Mthombeni said about his inclusion in the bottom three. ''You should worry about when you're on stage and performing, tomorrow's got its own things to worry about.'' Said Bongi Mthombeni: ''There's people who voted. And I'd like to say thank you to everybody. It means a lot. I wouldn't have gotten this far if it wasn't for you. May the good God bless everything that you do.''
