BREAKING. ESPN International expands and extends its National Football League coverage for viewers.
ESPN (DStv 230) has signed a deal with the National Football League (NFL) to extend and expand NFL coverage in the rest of the world, notable Africa and the Middle East, but including 100 countries through the 2013/2014 season.
In a statement ESPN says Monday Night Football will be available to more than 150 countries outside America. "Since 1992, the NFL and ESPN International have worked closely to grow the sport and the league around the world, and this agreement builds upon that successful relationship," says Tim Bunnell, senior vice president, programming and marketing of ESPN International. "ESPN is thrilled to bring millions of fans around the world the drama and physicality of the NFL season, culminating in one of the world's great sporting events, the Super Bowl."
