Heroes, the science fiction TV drama that was shown on SABC3 in South Africa, has been cancelled by the NBC network in America.
The show, that was popular in South Africa as well as the other international TV territories outside of the US where it was show, continued its downwards viewership slide in America. The spiralling viewership has now prompted NBC to cancel Heroes at the end of its just concluded fourth season.
SABC3 finished the third season earlier this year. Industry sources are speculating that NBC might give Heroes a special two or four hour movie to wrap up and conclude the storyline later in the year.
