BREAKING. Discovery Networks rolling out a great array of brand-new programming from July on South Africa's Discovery channels.

You're reading it here first.

Discovery Networks, operating 4 TV channels on MultiChoice's DStv and 3 new TV channels on On Digital Media (ODM)'s TopTV in SOuth Africa, will be rolling out a dazzling array of brand-new programming from July until the end of the year for viewers.

''These brand new shows include the highly acclaimed Gadget Show, Cake Boss, LA Ink and Worst Case Scenario hosted by Bear Grylls,'' says Paul Welling, vice president head of channels, emerging markets of Discovery Networks' Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. ''All of these debut between July and September this year.''

''Of course running alongside these new series is a collection of our popular flagship shows, which return at the end of the year with all-new episodes. These include top hits such as Ultimate Survival, Deadliest Catch [that Paul Welling called a ''man soap'' and made me laugh and is the perfect description for this great show], River Monsters and Swamp Loggers.''
